Job Title: Operations Manager Summary of Job Duties : The Operations Manager must oversee, plan, coordinate, and direct activities for food services, facility maintenance of a four building complex, transportation, and safety. Qualifications : High School Diploma or its equivalent. College experience or degree preferred. Work experience may substitute for college degree. A minimum of three years experience in food service and/or facilities maintenance is helpful. Familiarity with the processes of a nonprofit agency, nonprofit advocacy, fundraising, and communications programs a plus. Submit to and pass a criminal record check and a drug screening test. Hours : Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Evening and weekend hours may be required. This position reports directly to the Cumberland River RHOAR Program Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following: Purchase food, non-food items, and all necessary items and equipment for food service operations. Develop nutritious recipes and menus based on available food and supplies. Purchase supplies for housekeeping, laundry, fire safety, security, vehicles, and general maintenance. Ensure an adequate supply of all necessary items at all times. Oversee and coordinate maintenance and repairs at the facility. Supervises clients and assistant staff in housekeeping, laundry, security, kitchen and maintenance duties. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, air, landscaping, and vehicle repair. Maintain client confidentiality. Develop and implement an emergency preparedness plan to include situations such as fires, tornadoes, earthquakes, and other severe weather occurrences. Develop and implement evacuation plans for all clients and staff. Facilitate fire drills and maintain appropriate documentation. Communicate professionally with other professional agencies to solicit donations and initiate client referrals. Keep accurate inventory of supplies at all times. Develop short term and long term plans for cost effective upkeep of the facility. Contribute to budget development; strive to meet budgetary guidelines. Attends and participates in all required meetings. Respond to emergency situation in a timely fashion. Make decisions quickly on available information and take action. Deal appropriately with emergencies following all established facility protocols and procedures. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and independently, when necessary. Other duties as required. Interpersonal Skills Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy and compassion when problem solving, handling conflict or in a crisis situation. Ability to organize, plan, and schedule in order to accomplish work objectives; manage time and resources effectively, and develop, implement and execute realistic action plans. Ability to complete record keeping accurately and in a timely fashion Ability to get along with diverse personalities and maintain effective working relationships Ability to work well with people of all races, backgrounds and needs Ability to define and prioritize realistic, specific goals and objectives. Display a clear sense of purpose, take initiative to make things happen, and focus on clear attainable goals. Knowledgeable of Behavioral Health Concepts and how to incorporate concepts into practical application Clinical expertise in crisis intervention and resolution Ability to work as part of a comprehensive community mental health team and to positively represent the agency in the community Knowledgeable of the mission of the Cumberland Hope Community, its recovery model, and its code of conduct, and attempts to further the goals and mission of the Agency. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions or may be off-site from normal office location. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Environmental Data and Job Hazards : Hours of work are structured 8.0 hour blocks of time but may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours based on needs or demands. Position may require duties to include routine or reasonable anticipated tasks or procedures where there is a degree of actual or potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials. All staff are required to participate in yearly trainings regarding infection control and safety in the environment including hazardous waste and blood borne pathogens. All new staff must attend training regarding handling physical, verbal threats, acts of violence or other escalating and potential dangerous situations including when police need to be summoned. All staff must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within one month of employment and maintain the certification, if providing direct care. Powered by JazzHR
