Quillen VAMC (JHQ VAMC) Corner of Lamont and Dogwood Mountain Home, TN 37684-4000.Job Overview: FAR Group is looking for a successful and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an 'advanced practice provider'. The candidate should have allthe relevant education and experiences to perform the duties effectively and efficiently, and his responsibilities include the duties mentioned in this Job Description. Qualifications:•License - The Contractor's Advance Practice Provider(s) assigned by theContractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have acurrent license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, orCommonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) whenservices are performed onsite on VA property and will be submitted attime of offers due.•BLS and ACLS Certification - All contractor's Advance Practice Provider(s)must be certified in BLS and ACLS.•Technical Proficiency - Advance Practice Provider(s) shall be technicallyproficient in the skills necessary, including the ability to speak,understand, read and write English fluently.•Experience - Each of the contractor's Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant providers must have 'at least 3-5 years of recent experienceproviding emergency medical care.•Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU)Requirements - Advance Practice Provider(s) registered or certified bynational/medical associations shall continue to meet the minimumstandards for CME to remain current.•Training (ACLS, BLS, EHR and VA MANDATORY) - Contractor shall meet allVA educational requirements and mandatory course requirements definedherein; all training must be completed by the contractor's AdvancePractice Provider(s) as required by the VA. Advance Practice Provider(s)must be certified in BLS and ACLS.Responsibilities and Duties:•Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medicalhistory, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.•Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions.•Prescribing medications, therapies, and other treatments based on thepatient's diagnosis.•Developing and implementing care plans for patients with complexmedical needs.•Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests andimaging studies.•Providing patient education on disease prevention, health promotion,and self-care management.•Collaborating with other healthcare providers, such as physicians,nurses, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive patient care.•Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.•Participating in quality improvement activities to ensure safe andeffective patient care.
