Environmental Chimney Service is currently hiring for a full-time Masonry Technician to perform masonry labor in the field with the construction and repair of chimneys in the Arden, NC area. This full-time chimney and masonry position earns a competitive starting wage of $25.00 per hour plus commission, based on experience . DAY-TO-DAY This skilled construction labor position works full-time with some travel to out-of-town jobs and conventions. As a Masonry Technician, you play an essential role in our company. Whether you're building a new chimney or repairing an existing one, you provide the quality work we're known for. You perform your masonry magic on either brick, concrete, or natural stone. Following our client's specifications, you mix the mortar, cut the materials, and set them in a way that is pleasing to view from all angles. Always conscientious, you precisely follow the requirements for a safe job site, including the use of proper personal protective equipment. Among other tasks, you will rebuild masonry fireplaces, assist in building the scaffolding, sweep chimneys, or do demolition work. You will also ensure that the tools, workspaces, and vehicles are well cleaned and maintained. The work is strenuous, but that's one of the things you like about it. You enjoy using your strength to create something useful and attractive that will last for years to come!
