We welcome all applicants and look forward to new colleagues joining our community!Duties:The Appraisal Services Manager will develop and maintain procedures that govern the appraisal process. Adhere to appraisal, environmental, and flood policy and procedures. Ensure that all aspects of the Appraisal Services risk assessment are completed, reviewed, and updated on an ongoing basis as needed. Maintain an approved list of appraisers for the Bank. Manage the selection and performance monitoring of each appraiser on the approved list, including maintaining relationships with appraisers and having knowledge about fees, timeframes, and errors/issues with appraisals. Maintain the quality standards for review of residential and commercial appraisals. Improve turnaround times and continuously seek to improve appraisal, flood, and environmental processes. Maintain flood insurance calculations, reviews, and processes. Maintain environmental reviews and processes. Provide training for Market staff in appraisal, environmental, and flood-related software applications as well as overall appraisal training for new Lenders and Loan Assistants. Provide support for Lenders and Loan Assistants throughout the entire appraisal process. Understand and apply relevant industry and regulatory guidance in the areas of appraisal, flood, and environmental issues, including appropriate awareness of pending or recently issued guidance. Manage the Appraisal Services staff.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience Certified General Appraiser and Senior Residential Appraiser (if not Member of Appraisal Institute (MAI) certified) MAI designation preferred Supervisory/management experience preferred Proficient in understanding of FIRREA, USPAP, Interagency Guidelines, and banking regulations Proficient in understanding of real estate valuation principals and procedures Ability to multi-task Strong time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight travel
